The Monuments of Arizona

One of the most memorable trips I made was in 1995 to the Arizona desert. This is the place where limestone rock formations rise like castles, cathedrals or monuments from the red landscape. Their sheer height, their textures and colours are impressive. In these photomontages I have tried to show the power of that landscape and the color schemes that result from weather changes or even during parts of the day.
